TGIF. Good week, and I’m ready for the weekend. Only a few items to review today, but all of them interesting ones.

[blog] The key to unlocking developer productivity. There’s definite an uptick in this sort of content lately. Here, Atlassian’s CTO explores three areas they focus on to improve productivity.

[blog] Create PromQL alerts in Cloud Monitoring now in Public Preview. This seems like a good thing for Prometheus users and Kubernetes users in general.

[blog] Growing from engineer to architect and thriving. Is a move to architecture a promotion, or just taking on a new type of role. I think it’s more of the latter.

[blog] Building Generative AI applications made easy with Vertex AI PaLM API and LangChain. Big look at this toolset for building generative AI apps.

[blog] What people think they want from work…and what they actually need. Strong points here from Robert. What the team needs is sometimes more important than what you want.
